About the Journal

The journal Carl-Schmitt-Studien is an academic publication specialized in the thought and oeuvre of the German jurisprudent Carl Schmitt (1888-1985). The journal is intended as a contribution to the analysis and study of his thought and it offers an open forum for the discussion of and research into different aspects of his work. The main objective of the journal is to study the legacy, reception, and influence of the German jurisprudent in the political thought of the 20th century, as well as the persistence, critique and further development of his thought at present. The editors have set themselves the mission to stimulate new research that makes original and novel contributions to our comprehension of Schmitt’s legacy.

The journal is intended for the interested public, academic researchers, scholars and/or those specialized in the thought and oeuvre of Carl Schmitt.
